The Ex safety and isolation switch, allows to work with a machine being possible to make safely maintaining, cleaning and overhauling work as long as the switch is with OFF position.

It’s formed by two components: A selector and the isolation module.

This kind of switches is used so much in any industry which use machines, because the electrical circuits and tri-phase asynchronous motors need the energy supply and the installation are separated, in places considered as potentially explosive, so the use zones are 1, 2, 21 and 22.

The switch is protected by a stainless steel AISI 316L enclosure, specifically designed, waterproof, antirust and with IP66 protection degree.

• The control component is a selector, which allows or doesn’t allow the current to go through the circuit. The ON position (1) allows the current, so blocks the access to the machine thanks to the mechanical blocker. The OFF position (0) blocks the current, so allow to the worker to make any work with the machine.

•The isolation module allows the current to go through the circuit when the selector is with ON position, and keep the current when the selector is with OFF one.
